Richard Dannay introduces David Nimmer at the New York City Bar Association’s Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Nimmer on Copyright.

Richard Dannay had the high honor on May 17, 2023 of introducing David Nimmer at a jam-packed New York City Bar event celebrating the 60^th anniversary of the preeminent copyright law treatise, Nimmer on Copyright, begun by his father Professor Melville B. Nimmer in 1963, and, since 1985, continued and greatly expanded by Professor David Nimmer. The treatise has dominated copyright scholarship and research for 60 years. Richard noted, in his introduction, among other things, that because of the remarkable influence of the treatise, the Nimmer name has become “virtually synonymous with the entire body of copyright law.”
