CLL Mourns the Passing of Morton David Goldberg
Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman mourns the passing of our dear friend, former partner, and colleague, Morton David Goldberg, at the age of 92. He joined our firm in 1997 when the firm he co-founded, Schwab Goldberg Price & Dannay, merged with our firm. Mort had an illustrious career as a trademark and copyright lawyer, with particular knowledge of computer software and music copyright. Through his long career, he held leadership positions in many major intellectual property rights organizations and various U.S. Government advisory positions, and he was involved in numerous high-profile intellectual property cases. He remained active to the very end and took a special interest in our firm’s activities and our caring culture. We enjoyed his sense of humor and hearing about his many outside activities, including his trips with family on the white-water rapids of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and his love of the theater and opera. We will miss his incredible intellect, warmth, decency, generosity, and kindness, and we send our deepest condolences to his family.
