CLL Joins the Midsize Mansfield Rule Initiative
Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman is committed to building diverse client service teams by focusing on recruiting, retaining and promoting women, racially and ethnically diverse, LGBTQ+ and disabled attorneys, who traditionally have been underrepresented in the legal field.
To that end, we are thrilled to announce that the firm is currently participating in the 2022-2023 Mansfield Rule for Midsize Firms, an exciting and innovative national initiative designed to help close the gender and diversity gap in the legal profession.
By participating in the Midsize Mansfield Rule initiative, Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman is committing to consider an intentionally broad pool of candidates for leadership, attorney and high visibility positions within the firm. This includes when we are selecting leaders for management positions within the firm, hiring attorneys and forming teams for client pitches. The Midsize Mansfield Rule initiative also includes a commitment by the firm to be transparent in our internal governance, particularly with our selection guidelines and job descriptions for existing management roles and committees.
Firms that successfully complete the certification process will earn the distinction of being “Mansfield Certified,” which will make us stronger as a firm and benefit the legal profession overall.
