Paige Geier Receives Sanctuary for Families 2023 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award
Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman congratulates our litigation associate Paige Geier, who received a 2023 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award by Sanctuary for Families at its awards ceremony, which took place in New York on October 25, 2023.
Paige, together with a few other lawyers at her prior firm, assisted a mother of two young children in obtaining an order of protection against her abusive husband. She also worked on defeating the appeal of the decision that the abuser filed with the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department. Paige is now leading the custody and visitation trial and related matters.
Sanctuary for Families provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and related forms of gender violence. Its Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award honors attorneys who provide outstanding pro bono representation and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence.
