Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman Hosts Association of Corporate Counsel Musical CLE Program at the Legendary The Bitter End Rock & Roll Club
Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman (CLL) hosted another Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) musical continuing legal education (CLE) program at the legendary The Bitter End in Greenwich Village. The program, which was held on November 21, 2024, was titled "Anatomy of a Trademark Dispute, Part 1: Monitoring for Violations, Assessing Merits, C&D Letters, Settlement and Initiating Litigation."
A full band, including Avanthi Cole on vocals, played various tunes. Attendees were asked to name the songs, and Kieran Doyle, along with Lauren Gee, General Counsel of FULLBEAUTY Brands, explained how the songs relate to legal concepts. As part of CLL’s CLE4GOOD initiative, the firm donated $20 for each attendee to Steven Van Zandt's Rock and Soul Forever Foundation. Additionally, CLL auctioned off two Fender Squier guitars autographed by Steve Van Zandt, with the auction winners donating an additional $1,500 to the Foundation.
Steven Van Zandt is a guitarist in Springsteen’s E Street Band, portrayed Silvio on the Sopranos, and is the frontman of Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul.
