Experience

Sarah Sue Landau’s practice focuses on trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement.  She has represented and advised clients ranging from small businesses to well-established multinational corporations on matters spanning a variety of industries, including consumer products, beauty and fashion, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, non-profits, authors and publishers, and investment and financial services.

Sarah Sue received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2020. At NYU, she served as a Staff Editor of the NYU Journal for Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. Her article, “Of Mouse and Men: Will Mickey Mouse Live Forever?” published in the Spring 2020 edition, explored the vital intersection between copyright law and trademark law by analyzing the history of Mickey Mouse and the impending expiration of the copyright of the famous character.

During law school, Sarah Sue interned with the New York City Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, Grubhub, Reiss + Colleagues, and Cowan, Debaets, where she conducted research on a variety of trademark, copyright, advertising, antitrust, and privacy issues. She also served as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Eileen Rakower in New York State Supreme Court.
